Current Idea: Mount locking rails to the corners of the new tube chassis (under construction)
Specifications + Design Goals:
- Materials to use: Nylon printed mounts, m6 nuts and bolts
- GLV Box is 25 lbs
- The tubes are kinda hard to reach and at strange angles
- Locking Slide in mounting design
- Have to keep GLV box balanced under accel. and braking
- Quick detach
Location:

Internal mounting idea GLV Box - v1
- Mounting rods to stick out of the sides of the GLV box with bearings attached to slide within the side channels
- Needs more rigidity

Railing System Mount Design + Research
Current Idea for Mounting side channels:
- At the top tube corners closest to the glv box, there will be two triangles connected at their hypotenuses on each side (left and right of the car), with the top triangle’s identical sides mounting to the two tubes of the corner
- Probably will mount nylon brackets to the tubes with U-Bolts
- On the interior sides of these two triangles, there would be a channel that the box could slide into, the internal mounting to the box would have rods sticking out with bearings at the ends at each side of the glv box to slide into these channels
- In this channel-bearing design there would be blocks that would trap the bearing of the glv box as it slides in, and the bottom corners would have a similar system.
