Good about current Drivetrain
- No “great features”. Seems to work.
- Manufacturable
- Powerful Motors
What needs to improve
- No Camber Adjustment
- Very Little Overall Adjust-ability
- Way too tight
- Steering very hard to work with
- Small Brake Disks
- Fully Fixed Brake Discs sub optimal (floating optimal)
- Unsure about Hub-Wheel Contact
- Incredibly inefficient material usage for wheel hubs
- Spline Manufacturability (Output of motor not chosen to match gearbox)
- Not super optimized
What makes a good Drivetrain
- Adjustability
- Camber (top suspension pickup point), can make 2 separate pieces.
- Adjust where tie rods for steering connects
- As big brake discs as possible
- Lighter
- Optimal Tire Size Choice?
- More performance from smaller wheels
- RN at the limit of tire size (esp for hub mounted motors)
- if AMKs are any bigger, cannot go with current tire
- If AMK is smaller, super easy to design for.
